I am launching this space to share fragrant stories that will transport you to vivid and wistful places inspired by scent, art and beauty. I am a perfumer who has spent my life traveling and collecting aromatic memories with each new adventure. Being one of the first American indie perfumers to find global recognition, long before “niche” was a category.
I have a lot of stories to tell…
Stories that include my experiences living in Japan for seven years, where I studied Kodo, Ikebana, the Koto and Zen Buddhism, and perfume hunting in the veiled souks of Morocco. Stories influenced by scent, ritual and place. Stories about Glamour-Central: Bergdorf Goodman and Henri Bendel, New York City’s beauty palaces for the Manhattan’s It Girls of the 90’s.
